Last night in Vancouver, the Canucks had Manny Malholtra back in the lineup for the first time since injuring his eye against the Avalanche back in March. So the Canucks would like to honored his return by taking a 2-0 series lead. The Canucks first chance came 5 minutes in. Salo took a shot from the point, Thomas made the save but lost sight of the puck, the Bruins would get it out. 5 minutes later, Ryder came in on a 2 on 1 and took a shot off the mask of Luongo. So there's still no score. Then with the Canucks on the powerplay,  Higgins lost contoll of the puck, but Burrows got the puck (where Crosby scored the Golden goal for Canada) and he shot it and scored to make it 1-0.

10 minutes into the second, Boychuck's shot was stopped but Lucic ut home the rebound, for the Bruins first goal of the Cup final to tie the game. Then with the Bruins on the powerplay, Chara's wrist shot was tipped in by Recchi to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead. On the next play, Hansen played the puck to Lapierre in front of the net and he was stopped by Thomas. 10 minutes into the third, Edlers point shot was blocked, but Burrows got it and played it to Daniel Sedin and he scored to tie the game. The game went to overtime. Just 11 seconds in, Burrows brought the puck in and faked a shot and brought it around the net and scored to win the game and give the Canucks a 2-0 series lead.

"We knew our scouting report on Thomas," Burrows said. "We know he likes to come out and challenge and freeze you, so if I shoot there, I think he stops it and covers all the angles, so I wanted to walk around." The Bruins have won only 1 series when going down 0-2 and that series was in this years playoffs against the Montreal Canadiens. This game, had a lot of back and forth action. It was an even game, butonly 1 team came out on top and that team was the Canucks.
